Thanksgiving Feasts: Turkey in Art

Thanksgiving Feasts: Turkey in Art

Thanksgiving is this week and we are imagining many of you are currently in the process of devouring an enormous, multi-course meal surrounded by friends and family with equally healthy appetites. Or maybe you have already gorged yourself on a delicious turkey with various side dishes and have now slipped into a food-induced coma. Either way, you are celebrating America's favorite feast-worthy holiday right.

Here are a list of some of my favorite paintings throughout history, honoring Thanksgiving and it's famous bird, the turkey!

These works of art span the decadent dinners of Thanksgiving while honoring the turkey from the 1800's all the way to the 20th century America, capturing the day of plenty in all it's glory. Hope you aren't too full to enjoy and take a look!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
